Complying with the law - ASSESSING YOUR NEEDS Employers have an obligation under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982, UK Mainland 1981 and Approved Code of Practice and Guidance (ACOP L74) to make adequate and appropriate First Aid provision for their workforce. It is recommended that someone is able to undertake First Aid duties at all times when people are at work. The Appointed Person's First Aid Course is the minimum requirement for ANY business. Venue: This course can be run on your premises if you have a group from 8 to 16 people. We also have a course at our training centre in Antrim Town (see dates below). Certification: You receive a three year certificate, which is an appointed person's award and is the minimum requirement from the HSE for low to medium risks in the workplace. Times: This course can be run over 4 or 6 hours Dates: Dates and times can be arranged to suit you. The dates shown here are courses which are run every month at our training centre in Antrim.
