| Course Aims To refresh students with a valid certificate on the skills and knowledge in accordance with the requirements by the NCMA and PLA - this course is for members of these organisations and those requiring a detailed knowledge of First Aid for young children combined with Appointed Persons requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.
Suitable For Any person in the care of children with a valid Child Carer Certificate. Course Length 6 Hours. Course can be run in two 3 hour sessions or one x 6 hour session. Pre-requisite MUST be a holder of a valid Child Carer First Aid Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be presented at the start of the course. A copy will also be taken for our records as proof of certification. Certification Students will be awarded a certificate which is valid for 3 years
Course Venue This course is generally held at your premises. We can book a training room at a local hotel. An additional charge will be added to the course fee (subject to its suitability). - Unconscious casualty: Adult/Child/Infant
- Resuscitation: Adult/Child/Infant
- Contents of the First Aid kit
- Dealing with blood loss and shock
- Burns & scalds
- Causes of unconsciousness
- Electric shock
- Foreign bodies
- Recognition and management of fractures
- Administration of medication
- Recognition of infectious diseases and minor illnesses
- Recording and reporting
