Course Aims              To train students in the skills and knowledge of emergency first aid in accordance with the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982. Suitable For Any person nominated by the employer as an Appointed Person in the workplace. Course Length  6 Hours. Pre-requisite            None. Certification             Students will be awarded a certificate of competence which is valid for 3 years although a one year update is advised. Course Venue          This course is generally held at your premises. We can book a training room at a local hotel. An additional charge will be added to the course fee (subject to its suitability). Trainers are available throughout Northern Ireland, Eire, Mainland UK and Europe. Course Syllabus      The course covers the Core subjects below and different Modules are available and tailored for each group: Introduction to first aid. Incident management and safety. Resuscitation. (Includes a demonstration of the Lifepak Defibrillator) Unconsciousness. Choking. Control of bleeding. Shock. Burns and scalds. Fractures. Minor Illness - Such as Asthma, Diabetes and Epilepsy.
